Description
Responsibilities
 
  • Contribute to the development of the Ministry’s long-term strategic goals and policies.
  • Provide input on national education strategies, curriculum design, and reform initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of educational objectives with the country’s economic, social, and cultural priorities.
  • Monitor the performance of the Ministry’s programs and initiatives to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee resource allocation and budgetary decisions to ensure transparency and optimal use of funds.
  • Assess risks and ensure the implementation of measures to mitigate them.
  • Serve as a bridge between the Ministry and the community, advocating for the needs of students, educators, and parents.
  • Engage with industry leaders, academic institutions, and international organizations to foster partnerships.
  • Represent the Board and Ministry at public events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Evaluate and review key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure continuous improvement in educational outcomes.
  • Oversee accreditation processes for schools and institutions to maintain high standards of education.
  • Provide recommendations to improve teacher training, student assessments, and learning environments.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics in all decision-making processes.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks governing the education sector.
  • Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational programs and policies.

Requirements
 

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Proven track record of leadership in education, public administration, or a relevant sector.
  • Experience in governance, strategic planning, or policy making, preferably at a senior level.
  • Familiarity with national and international educational standards and trends.
  • Strong understanding of the education sector’s challenges and opportunities.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose actionable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership and decision-making abilities with a focus on collaboration and consensus-building.
  • Commitment to improving the quality of education for all stakeholders.
