Qualifications and Requirements
- Contribute to the development of President’s Office business plans in line with the organization strategy
- Develop the operational plan for Protocol in line with the President’s Office business plan and President’s Office strategic plan
- Implement plans and provide input to Protocol goals that support The organization's overall strategic plans
- Provide input to identify Protocol required projects to meet future demands
- Support in identifying and evaluating risks and provide input on the mitigation plans developed
- Participate in Protocol annual budgeting cycle and process
- Manage Protocol efficiently and within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
- Lead the design and implementation of Protocol policies and procedures covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high impact and achieving results effectively and efficiently
- Encourage team and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures
- Remain abreast of President’s Office leading practice and new trends, and identify recommendations for corrective measures, updates and improvements where required
- Establish working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Collect feedback from stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements in order to identify barriers and develop action plans
- Manage the preparation of progress reports or continuous information and updates direction to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
- Actively gain exposure and insights to local market development, business opportunities and the existing regulatory landscape
- Attend related forums, seminars, etc. to enrich network and learn about the latest developments and opportunities
- Manage, guide and assist team to perform operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Human Resources function to identify and recruit talent for Protocol
- Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise incumbents and provide regular feedback on performance

- Keep abreast of official events and international protocol logistics to update protocol policies and processes
- Manage the development / update of protocol requirements and guidelines for upcoming local and international events to determine formalities, etiquette, and proper behavior during specific social events
- Act as the liaison between President and the accredited diplomatic and consular parties, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ensuring smooth and efficient communications
- Approve and finalize protocol requirements for relevant President’s delegations, receptions, and local and / or international events and coordinate with concerned stakeholders
- Oversee the development of protocol document detailing etiquette instructions (i.e., welcome etiquette and seating arrangements) for relevant events ensuring alignment with event's type, context, and attendees' culture
- Manage the coordination with concerned functions and authorities to arrange logistics (i.e., personal identification cards, transportation requirements) for the reception of regional and international representative missions
- Review and approve post-event reports including identified issues and challenges during events and recommend improvement areas for future events
- Oversee the development of a travel plan for President business trips in line with requirements, preferences, schedule, and allocated budget
- Identify the need to develop / update travel protocol based on trip's context and hosting country’s culture, laws, and regulations to ensure safe and successful business trips
- Ensure President business trips are properly organized and all logistical matters are covered for optimal satisfaction
- Evaluate President business trips and highlight lessons and improvement areas for future business trips
Qualifications and Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in a Protocol field
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or equivalent is required
- Master’s degree in Political Science or equivalent is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
