Description


Responsibilities
  • Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes in line with leading practices
  • Establish working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Collect feedback from internal stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements
  • Contribute to the preparation of progress reports directed to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
  • Conduct research and benchmark studies to keep abreast of latest updates and trends in the statistics field for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Participate in the identification of statistical needs and develop full understanding of what to deliver, when and how
  • Support in the design of variables to be collected, variables to be derived and / or collection methods in line with communicated requirements and expectations
  • Gather needed data in line with pre-defined standards and plans, and flag unavailable / incomplete data sets
  • Classify and code input data either through automatic / clerical coding routines, automated (i.e., pre-designed machine learning techniques) or manual processes
  • Conduct needed data editing and imputations to finalize data files and enable downstream statistical processes
  • Derive new variables as needed in an iterative process through applying arithmetic formulae or different model assumptions to variables present in data files
  • Calculate weights and aggregates for data records in line with approved methodology to account for the desired representation of targeted output
  • Conduct mathematical and statistical analyses on complex data leveraging available models to draft statistical outputs
  • Implement needed modifications on drafted statistical outputs and include all relevant metadata, paradata, and quality indicators
  • Add disclosure control, supporting information (i.e., commentary, technical notes, briefings, measures of uncertainty, etc.) and visuals to convey complex statistical information and finalize reports
  • Gather evaluation inputs (i.e., stakeholders' feedback, system metrics, paradata, etc.) continuously in line with quality framework
  • Conduct post-process evaluation activities as needed (i.e., interview studies, surveys, etc.) to support in the development of evaluation reports
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in a Statistics field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics / Statistics or equivalent is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office 
  • Proficiency in English
