Description
Responsibilities
  • Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes in line with leading practices
  • Establish working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Collect feedback from internal stakeholders on issues being faced and other requirements
  • Contribute to the preparation of progress reports directed to all relevant stakeholders to keep them informed of progress
  • Support in the development of guidelines and methodologies for econometrics studies in line with international best practices
  • Support in feasibility studies and business cases development for relevant initiatives / projects
  • Support in developing technical proposals for relevant initiatives / projects including detailed description of the proposed work and resources required
  • Engage with concerned stakeholders to align on relevant requirements and expectations, and request clarifications as needed to develop plans accordingly
  • Formulate hypothesis through defining theory to be tested and determining relevant variables in line with communicated requirements and expectations, and conduct preliminary qualitative analyses
  • Develop econometric model through representing the formulated hypothesis mathematically and introducing relevant random errors and new variables
  • Identify type of data (i.e., time-series, cross-section, panel) and techniques (i.e., linear regression, multiple regression, quantile regression, etc.) needed to conduct econometric analyses
  • Oversee econometric analyses and assess outcomes to determine economic efficiency and implement model changes as needed
  • Support in the development of reports consolidating hypotheses, assumptions, data, methodology and approach, and all relevant analyses and forecasts
  • Analyze and consolidate inputs into evaluation report or control dashboard to enable corrections and modifications throughout the process, and escalate unresolved issues
  • Develop post-process evaluation reports highlighting issues and deviations of performance metrics from expected values

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a Statistics field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics / Statistics or equivalent is required
