Requirements
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit plan aligned with the organization's objectives and risk profile.
- Advise executive management and the board (or audit committee) on governance, risk, and compliance issues
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audits, ensuring audits are conducted in accordance with professional standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, financial reporting, and operational processes.
- Identify and assess risks, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate them.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal audit team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet the audit plan and organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with senior management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on risk management and audit outcomes.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders, including the board and executive leadership.
- Ensure the organization complies with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Prepare and present periodic audit reports to the audit committee and senior leadership
- Monitor emerging trends in governance, risk management, and auditing to ensure the internal audit function remains robust and relevant.
- Drive process improvements within the organization based on audit findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- +7 years of experience
- Deep understanding of internal auditing standards, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using audit management software and data analytics tools.
